About Me
My Background
My name is Martin Reinfried, and I'm known in some circles as Negroni. Yes, I do enjoy the drink by the same name, and I enjoy making it for people, especially versions where I play around with the spirit, the bitter, and the vermouth. I grew up in Switzerland and New Jersey, went to college at Stanford, lived in the Bay Area, mostly San Francisco, until 2021, and now live in beautiful Telluride, Colorado. I am a software engineer who has also helped create puzzle-themed events. I am married to Dennise, and we have a teenager, Maximus, and I enjoy many activities, such as snowboarding, hiking, playing bridge, board games, puzzles, traveling, and much more.
Negroni
I first got the playa name Negroni at Burning Man, where I operate a mobile bar called Negroni's Workshop, serving versions of the Negroni cocktail to people in the unexpected expanse of the deep playa. I have now branched out and also run a speakeasy on the playa named the Wise Owl.
In addition, I am an avid puzzler and have joined the National Puzzlers League, whose members all have a nom. Mine, of course, is Negroni, and I have created several puzzles, mostly variety cryptic crosswords, under that nom.
